The FFIEC passed a guidance strongly recommends that by end of 2006, all Financial Institutions must implement stronger authentication either by using multi-factor authentication or some other methods that would provide multiple security layers for their on-line banking systems. The MFA features for business banking satisfies the guidance recommendations. The FFIEC guidance states that User ID and Password is a single factor authentication and is deemed inadequate.
